How to reset rommon prompt

I was in rommon and lost my rommon 1 > prompt,

i cannot get it to be rommon 1 > and so on when i type PS1=rommon ! > it gives me error on output

Hello: it is a little aggravating not being able to see were you are without the numbers foolowing the prompt

Thing is router do not normally operate in rommon so not an big issue. Try "sync" anyway.

Hello: Yes you are right, maybe you could help me im trying to boot this 8540 router from tftp to get ios on flash ram or flash card i have the ios i lost previos 8540 in a fire i have other 8540's and new flash card but not cisco card if i can boot from tftp and the copy to flash ram great or flash card is there any utilitys for flash card in the pcmcia in computer to format card

Try "tftpboot" it will tell you the commands you have to enter in order to do that.
