Local updater ID is 127.0.0.51 on interface EO0/0

I have a 6509 that is setup as a VTP server and my 3750 is a client.

I am getting "Local updater ID is 127.0.0.51 on interface EO0/0 (first interface found)" what is the meaning of this.

Hello Navinder,

addresses like 127.0.0.51 are used for communication between modules on a C6500 chassis they are not allowed to exit the box as they are loopback addresses.

interface eo 0/0 should be for out of band management.

Thank you for the vital information, however, as per our understanding in the "Configuration last modified by 127.0.0.51 at 8-22-09 06:08:19", the ip should be the ip of the port or Vlan from which the update has been done.

why I am getting 127.0.0.51 as the configuration last modified IP.
