UC520 Extension Mobility Setup

Hi,

I am trying to setup extension mobility on my UC520... I have tried to implement what I have discovered on the web but fallen at the first hurdle...

I have two phones 7975G and my Cisco IP communicator (softphone). I have deleted the extensions from the CCA and tried to enter a dummy one with a dummy mac address... However when I try to apply the changes it pops up red and informs me to fix the errors....

Could someone please help me with the dummies giude to set this up for a dummy :);)

Thanks

Brian

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the documentation....

I followed it to the word and have now enabled extension mobility... however it seems that my cisco 7975 and my cisco ip softphone now have the same extensions at the same time....

Which I think is great....I dont neet to login to any phone.... and when anyone calls 2001 they both ring at the same time.... and when I make an oputbound call each phone displays that the line 1 is in use.....

Is this a normal feature of extension mobility.....

See I really did need the dummies guide to set this up....

Thanks

Brian

If you configure it to use the same extension, then yes, the behavior you are seeing is normal.
