Is is possible to edit and update the startup-config on an ASA5505 remotely.

I need to change the IP & default gateway remotely prior to a switch over of ISP. I had hoped to edit the startup before it changed but it doesn't seem possible.

Hi,

try THIS :

copy the existing running config to a tftp server.

copy run tftp

change the ip and d.g. in the running config file on tftp server.

copy the same file to startup

copy tftp start

Once ASA is rebooted,it would come back up with changed settings.

Plz rate if helps.
