Confirming "erase" procedures on 4507

Hi, if I need to clear all configuration on my 4507 (but leave the existing IOS on flash OK, I am planning to get to console on each supervisor and do:

Switch#write erase

then reload it.

Is that all or anything special I need to do when dealing with the supervisor engine?

That will wipe out any config minus anything that is in the vlan.dat file .

I did 'write erase' and I see that vlan information was wiped out. I just see a vlan 20 and obviously vlan 1.

Right if it had wiped out everything you would not see a vlan 20 . The main config is wiped out but the vlan info in the vlan.dat is there . I would just manually get rid of vlan 20 .

Actually that may not be correct. It sounds vlan got wiped out by configuration on the first supervisor...
