Difference between HUM and CSMARS - Resource Usage

Unanswered Question

Hello,

CSMARS has system reports for Resource Usage such as CPU, Memory, connection, bandwidth. How is this any different than the Poller reports as part of CiscoWorks HUM. Shouldn't MARS be similar in this aspect.

Thanks.

I have this problem too.

It's not. CS-MARS can use SNMP to obtain some of the same information that HUM can obtain. However, HUM offers more flexibility in what you can poll, and what reports you can run. For example, in HUM, you can add additional templates and pollers for custom MIBs. You can also create custom thresholds and trends in HUM for both the system templates as well as any custom templates you define.
