Solved: Factory Reset UC520 > Localization Files

Hi,

I am going to reset my UC520 back to factory reset as it has developed its mind as you can read from my previous threads and advice from the forum.

However I would like to Localize it to GB... I think I have the nessary files:

I am going to use the UC520-7.1.1a-ea.zip file to factory reset the device

and to localize it I have the following files:

1) cue-vm-en_GB-langpack.ise.7.0.3.prt1

2) CME-locale-en_UK-4.1.0.2.tar

3) CME-locale-en_UK-English-7.0.1.1.tar

4) cue-vm-en_GB-lang-pack.2.3.4.1.prt1

5) cue-vm-lang-pack.2.3.4.1.pkg

I dont even know if these are the correct files or if I have files missing? If I do which files are missing? Also can you let me know which folder to place them in the CCA directory?

Hi Marcos,

I have these files, but my UC520 dont wont them It is looking for the *.pkg files and they are not listed on this site unless I maybe missing a link....

I think I have nearly every possible download there is for the UC520 except what the UC520 requires... So am I looking of for the GB-VM*****7.0.3***.pkg files is it only one or several?

Hi Brian,

Are you trying to localize the IP Phones or CUE or both? For CUE, you will need to use cue-main.ise.7.0.3.pkg file. However, with CCA 2.0 we have identified a defect in handling of the localization feature. You may be running into this issue, please check the thread at https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3092744#3092744

Let me know if you are seeing issues with IP Phone localization.

Hi Saurabh,

Yeah thats what I am trying to do is localize both the CUE, IP Phone and VMail Langauge.....

So CCA 2.0.1 can not handle this? Is there any other way to do this?

If not how long before the new release of CCA will be released?

Hi Brian,

We are anticipating an official fix in Oct/Nov timeframe. However, I might be able to get an engineering release with the fix a little sooner than that. Will check with CCA engineering team and get back.
