I have completed my CCENT. I plan to complete my CCNA soon.
However, i am bit confused on which path do i need to take in order to enter the vast world of Information Security. I'm aware about CCNA>CCNA Security>CCSP>CCIE.
1. There are so many certifications in the market like Security+ â SCNS â SCNP â CISSP, EC-Council Certified Security Analyst/Admin, CIW.
My question is -
I dont know which path shouild i take? I am getting confused. How would one know how different are these certifications?
Having so many varied options, i am not sure what is most valued or needed in the industry.
Can any of the industry experts advise me?
2. Is it advisable to complete CCNP & then do my CCSP?
I am not sure if this is the right forum i need to post this question or not. But, i just need to set a goal & the path which will lead me there.
If you have a look at:
You will find information on all the cisco exams paths.
The most valued certifications in the industry are the cisco certifications, because of the level of knowledge/experience required to achieve them.
You don't need a CCNP in order to take
the CCSP exam.
The certifications depend on where do you want to go professionally.
Be aware that Both the EC-Council and the Comptia Security+, SISSP and others are "generic", that are not linked to no specific company, like the CCSP is cisco specific.
Hope this helps.
