Testing VTP Pruning

Can someone help me in knowing the verification of vtp pruning on 3550 switches..

Hi Prado,

Here are few useful commands:

show vtp status : to verify domain name, VTP Operating Mode and version.

show vtp counters: to verify exchange of vtp messages.

show interface trunk: to verify allowed(not pruned) Vlans on per interface basis.

sh vlan brief: to verify vlans in vlan database

Hi Friend,

Thank you for ur kind response.

I could see that the vlans pruned using "show interface no. trunk" command but, how can i make sure that the pruning switch is not flooding the restricted vlans to that switch ? are there any debug commands to see the background process.
