Hi,
Simply put, PT is where you are and CSS is where you are allowed to go. For a DN to be able to call another DN it must have permission to call it and it is CSS that gives it that permission.
EG..DN 3002 with PT_int and CSS_int wants to call DN 5002 with Pt_Long and CSS_long.
The CSS on the DN 3002 which is CSS_int must have the partion of DN 5002 which is PT_long.
Hence the CSS on 3002 must look like this.
CSS_int
PT_Long
PT_int.
So essentially CSS controlles where you can go.
This is a very fundamental aspect of CCM. It affects evrything from IP phones to gateways to CTI ports used for UCCX etc.
