I don't understand the difference between partions and calling search spaces in Cisco Call Manager 4. Anybody can explain me it?. Thanks.

Hi,
Simply put, PT is where you are and CSS is where you are allowed to go. For a DN to be able to call another DN it must have permission to call it and it is CSS that gives it that permission.
EG..DN 3002 with PT_int and CSS_int wants to call DN 5002 with Pt_Long and CSS_long.
The CSS on the DN 3002 which is CSS_int must have the partion of DN 5002 which is PT_long.
Hence the CSS on 3002 must look like this.
CSS_int
PT_Long
PT_int.
So essentially CSS controlles where you can go.
This is a very fundamental aspect of CCM. It affects evrything from IP phones to gateways to CTI ports used for UCCX etc.
