Problem when connection a 3560G switch to a 3560-E switch

I am having an issue when connecting an up link between a Cisco 3560G-24TS- switch and a Cisco 3560E-24PD.

The line protocol does not come up.

I have issued a shutdown command on both switches and no shut command, but the line protocol on both switches does not come up.

For some seconds the LED on the Cisco 3560E turned amber and then went off.

There was an error on the Cisco 3560E console stating that there is a power error on the interface.

Can you please help?
