DMP upgrade issue

I am having an issue with upgrading my

Cisco DMP.

I select the "Upgrade Firmware" on the

DMP-DM.

I browse my workstation and select the following

firmware file:

rootfs_2.43.1FCS_4305.fwimg

During the upgrade process I see the following

error in the Upgrade Status window:

"Invalid product tag (act:"D4305G", exp:"cmp")"

The Upgrade fails...

The symptoms that you describe is typically seen when trying to upgrade a DMP with the incorrect FW Version.

In your case, it looks like you are trying to upgrade a DMP-4300G with the DMP-4305 Firmware.

Please verify that you actually have a DMP-4305G and not a DMP-4300G. From the DMP-DM under the ABOUT section, Select the"Hardware and Firmware Versions"

You should see something like:

Product DMP-4305G

Product ID DMS-DMP-4305G-DS

** Make sure the FW and the HW match...

You must have a 4300 instead of 4305. Download the image for 4300 by going to cisco.com->Support->Download Software->Video, Cable and Content Delivery->Digital Media Systems->Digital Media Players->Digital Media Players 4300G
