Hi,
Is it possible to set a restriction on call forwarding from IP Phone to external numbers for e.g. using COR list?
We are using Call Manager express 7.0

Hi Rajesh,
Here is one such method;
call-forward max-length
To restrict the number of digits that can be entered using the CfwdALL soft key on an IP phone, use the call-forward max-length command in ephone-dn or ephone-dn-template configuration mode. To remove a restriction on the number of digits that can be entered, use the no form of this command.
call-forward max-length length
no call-forward max-length
Syntax Description
length
Number of digits that can be entered using the CfwdAll soft key on an IP phone.
This command can be used to prevent a phone user from using the CfwdALL soft key on an IP phone to forward calls to numbers that will incur toll charges when they receive forwarded calls.
If the length argument is set to 0, the CfwdALL soft key is completely disabled. If the ephone-dn associated with the first line button has an active call forward number when this command is used to set the length argument to 0, the CfwdALL soft key will be disabled after the next phone restart

Hope this helps!

hi Rob,
Thanks.
Just few questions:
1)I have my IP Phones in two Vlans say 1 & 2. Two CMEs in another VLAN say VLAN 3.
The MOH for internal and external calls doesn't work. The calls when put on hold, currently gives only beep beep sound insteah of on hold music.Is any special config need to be done to get MOH to be used from a file in flash.
Is it multicast has to be implemented? Can't the MOH work in unicast, I have CME 7.1.
2)I want to configure FXS port for FAX, and take incoming calls from PSTN on CME.
Any URL for the config, for CME with FXS. Is this fax relay or something else?
Thanks

Hi Rajesh,
You are most welcome my friend!
You will need to use IP Multicast. Have a look;
Restrictions for Music on Hold
IP phones do not support multicast at 224.x.x.x addresses.
Cisco Unified CME 3.3 and earlier versions do not support MOH for local Cisco Unified CME phones that are on hold with other Cisco Unified CME phones; these parties hear a periodic repeating tone instead.
Cisco Unified CME 4.0 and later versions support MOH for internal calls only if the multicast moh command is used to enable the flow of packets to the subnet on which the phones are located.
Internal extensions that are connected through an analog voice gateway (Cisco VG 224) or through a WAN (remote extensions) do not hear MOH on internal calls.
Multicast MOH is not supported on a phone if the phone is configured with the mtp command or the paging-dn command with the unicast keyword.
Here is how to set this up :)
From this excellent CME doc;
