Dears,

i'm trying to display the caller name when calling from a cisco ip phone to a siemens phone, and vice versa. the siemens pbx is conneced to the voice gateway through qsig.the gateway is configured as h323 on the call manager. Note that the the calling name is displayed in both ways.

Anyone has a suggestion how to display the calling name?

i'm attaching the running config of the voice gateway,

thanks for your feedback,

the attached file shows the output of the "show ver" command and the running configuration.

Hi,

Is the name display works now?

I have the same problem between Cisco and Aastra...

As tu réussi à faire afficher le nom?

J'ai le même problème entre Cisco et Aastra...

Thanks

can you send the screenshot of h323 config on the cucm

and debug h225 asn1 and debug isdn q931 on the gw.

thanks

Hi,

you can find screenshots and debug in attached piece.

here's an extract of the gw config:

Did this ever get resolved?  I'm having exactly the same issue at the moment but many of the commands don't work as I'musing fa0/0 rather than serial.

Best Regards

Hi Tim

If you are trying to apply commands to an Fa interface to resolve calling name issues, you may have well and truly lost your way :-)

Probably best to kick off a new thread describing your software, topology and problem.

Hi Aaron

Not lost my way completely, Panasonic PBX's send the QSIG Q.931 packet over IP when using IP Gateways.  Normally this is not a problem as most communication is from Panasonic to Panasonic.

Unfortunately it seems that the "isdn supplementary-service name calling" command cannot be applied to an fa port depsite it still being able to support H.323 calling

I've created the following post but it doesn't seem to be a common issue:

Thank you for taking the time to reply however.

Will follow up on the other thread - the point is that the fa interface is a transit interface for the H.323 traffic. The commands starting 'isdn' are specific to (you guess it) the ISDN protocol, which doesn't run over ethernet; it runs over BRI or PRI ports (PRIs appearing as serial ports in the config).

Thanks Aaron

My knowledge of how this works on the Cisco side is a blur to me, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

Tim
