Try using TFTP32.

Run the application from YOUR desktop, perhaps?

What's the size of the IOS your trying to copy across? Is it >32mb? If so, then you really need TFTP32.

Hi,

Could you please make sure of the following:

1- The FTP and TFTP is accessible from the switch by performing normal ping before the upgrade.

2- Make sure the IOS in the correct Directory for successful upgrade.

3- Make sure Of the IOS exact destination name.

Problem solved

The old code (c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE3.bin) was stored in a directory with the name c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-35.SE3

I deleted this directory and i got lot of free space and then i loaded the file through tftp this time it didn't showed any error message.

Due to the limited memory space on the catalysts (like in your case) the tftp and as well the ftp transfer has been aborted.

Unfortionatly the switch does not tell you this directly.

Try using the

Switch#dir

command to check how much space is available. I always do so, especially when using xmodem transfers.

Hi.

Try using the archive download-sw command instead of copy tftp: flash:

For that you'll need the .tar version instead of the .bin

Reason for using archive downlaod-sw command being that it will automatically remove older versions (or rather, it has options for doing the removal) and it will include the html files as well, which might come in handy if your customer at some time want to use web-based management fo the switch.
