CIPC Mic not working on Dell Latitude E4300 Laptop

Hi All,

I have just installed a couple of CIPC7.0 on two laptops(different vendors),

the first one is working perfectly, but on the Dell it looks like the microphone is somehow not recognized by the CIPC.

when I run the audio tuning wizard, it first popus a message about the master audio control is mute and the CIPC wizard fixed it and when testing the mic the volume meter is not moving and no sound is heard on playback.

When the user on this laptop makes a call there is oneway audio, where he can hear the remote party by cannot be hears.

Other programs such as Skype or voice recorder have no problem to work with the mic and they are closed while running the CIPC, so I cannot track any program that generate a conflict on using the mic.

OS is Windows Vista™ Business Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001

Has anyone seen this issue before?

There have been some problems with CIPC in the past with some different sound cards.  Please open up a TAC case so they can look into this to see if there is a problem with the sound card and CIPC.
