ACS Framed-Interface-id

Unanswered Question
Sep 7th, 2009

Can anybody tell me if the RADIUS Attribute "Framed-Interface-id" as per RFC 3162 is available within Cisco ACS. I need to use this to assign specific IPv6 addresses to PPP Clients.

I have this problem too.

Hi,

ACS would support the RADIUS attributes used for IPv6 network access described in RFC 3162...CORRECT !

Radius attribute "framed-interface-id" is not supported by Cisco secure ACS version 4.x.

Initial support for IPv6 will be in 5.1 release.

Hi JK

Here is an additional question for you if you can help.

To use the ACS Server for IPv6 DHCP assigments, the documentaion states that you need to create an additional username which has -dhcpv6 added. What would be the password for this account be, have tried everything so far, i must be missing something completly. As you may know, you can have blank passwords in ACS.

Cheers

Derek
