WS-X4124-FX-MT on WS-C6506-E

Hi

We will upgrade the core switch, I have actually a Catalyst 4006 and a Catalyst 6506 will replace it next month.

I will need to keep some fast Ethernet fiber links some months.

Do you know If I can use this card in Catalyst 6506-E:

WS-X4124-FX-MT Cisco Catalyst 4500 Fast Ethernet Switching Module, 24-Port 100BASE-FX (MT-RJ)

No you can't. The 6500 and 4500 line cards are not interchangeable.

No you can't. The physical dimension alone of the module is indicative.

If you really need the 100BaseFX, the GLC-FE-100FX will work if you use WS-X6148-FE-SFP blade.
