SUP Sync

Hi,

I have the switch running with single SUP And the 2nd SUP is faulty. I got a new SUP from CISCO. However, the new SUP is having different ISO as compare to the existing SUP. Now I want sync the configuration & configure SUP as backup to other. Please advice me how to go forward.

What is the platform, 6500 or 4500?

what is the file system of the active sup, bootflash:, disk0: or bootdisk:

You can do a dir slavebootflash: for example to confirm you have access to the standby sup and then you can copy the IOS from the active to the standby, do a write mem and reload the standby sup to it loads the same IOS as the active + the config file

Hi,

It's 6500 & having CATOS.

I tried to access slavebootflash:, but no luck

Switch> (enable) dir slavebootflash:

Open device slavebootflash failed (unknown device)

Switch> (enable)

SUP in slot is the one I got from Cisco in RMA. They are having different Hw, Fw, Sw versions.
