Hi everyone. I just passed my CCNA exam on 09/09/09 with 916 passing mark. After 2 tries i finally did it (801 & 7++). I plan on taking BCMSN & BSCI next year. Now currently just focusing on hands on experience. Would studying/taking CCNA W & V help in preparing myself towards CCNP certification?

I have this problem too.

Congrats on passing, it feels good heh.

Studying for the CCNA Wireless and Voice will only slightly aid you on your quest for the CCNP. I would recommend staying focused and go for the composite exam ( 642-892 Composite ) which is the BCSI and BCMSN in one. This not only helps you gain the CCNP, but will give you another brick in the wall towards a CCIP/CCDP ( CCDA required first for CCDP ). The BSCI and BCMSN really are soild foundations not just for Cisco Certs, but for networking in general.

Good Luck in the future.

the CCNA wireless and CCNA voice are not needed for the CCNP, but they are pre-requisites to the CCSP or CCVP.

Be aware that the new CCNA exams are designed to guide you in the different professional tracks.
