Can someone explain the function of the bootldr variable for the Sup32?

BOOT variable = sup-bootdisk:s3223-adventerprisek9_wan-mz.122-33.SXH3.bin,12;

CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist

BOOTLDR variable does not exist

Configuration register is 0x2102

The Boot Loader entry would be populated with information regarding the Boot image for such IOS.

You need to download this Boot image from cisco.com and we recommend placing this image in a location other than your current full blown image to prevent single point of failure.

The boot image allows you to boot into IOS and perform basic commands and avoid the dreadful rommon scenario.

The boot image is quite small compared to the full blown image. For instance, SXH3 ranges from 58 to 88MB depending upon the feature set while the boot image is about 12MB and it fits in bootflash.

BOOTLDR is the boot image that ROM uses for booting , if it is specified.
