What is best pratice for 802.11a data rates and a cisco 7921, standard and mandatory.

We recommend 12 as the minimum, basic (mandatory) rate and then can optionally enable the higher rates (18-54).

This accounts for capacity and range.

However the 36-54 rates can also be disabled as they do not provide any capacity or throughput advantages for voice.

Thanks as always. Is there any good documents how to ready the traces from a 7921 ? I understand most of the traces, but would like a document if there is one.

No not really. Only how to enable the modules and what each module is for.
