We recommend 12 as the minimum, basic (mandatory) rate and then can optionally enable the higher rates (18-54).

This accounts for capacity and range.

However the 36-54 rates can also be disabled as they do not provide any capacity or throughput advantages for voice.

Thanks as always. Is there any good documents how to ready the traces from a 7921 ? I understand most of the traces, but would like a document if there is one.
