Hi all

I dont know if anyone on here can help, I have an AP setup to connect to a workgroup bridge, the wgb then plugs into a pc. Now whats happens is for some reason the pc is sometimes unpingable, but when I jump on the ap that is plugged into and run a ping, it pings ok, This then brings back to life the ping from the lan.

Anyone got any ideas what this could be ?

Hi Carl.

Is the AP an autonomous (Aironet) AP or a lightweight AP (Airespace; LWAPP)?

If it is the latter, a colleague of mine has just ahd a case where the WGB lost the ARP entries for the client on the ethernet port, if the client did not periodically initiate data transmission by itself.

HTH.

Hi There

how come this would affect it? as the ap shouldnt need arp entries, just a mac entry?? it sounds like the same thing, was there a workaround to this ?
