CTC database backup failed

Hello!

Our ONS15454 boxes generates the pop-up error msg, EID-3237 when we try to save/backup the node's config database in the CTC. This state is not permanent, but lasts for days. The topology is a triangle, and the phenomenon appears on all nodes, but not simultaneously.

The backup process was tried from different hosts, with different java versions, even directly connected, without mediate firewalls/tunnels.

Versions:

CTC Core: 8.5.3 (08.53-008J-17.07)

Java: java 1.6.0_12; 1.6.0_04; 1.5.0_16

In other way, the ctc works fine, all other funcions are ok.

Any idea? I could not found any relevant bug.

If this is an MSTP system and you have AD4C cards then check to see that the channel transmit powers on the AD4C are within 0.5db of each other.  If they are not APC constantly tries to adjust the VOA which keeps the TCC too busy to do the DB Backup.    This is bug CSCsy44692.  I believe it is fixed in version 9.0 of CTC.
