CM 5/6/7 :- Admin and App uid / passwd in a Cluster

Hi,

If I have a CM (5.x / 6.x or 7.x) cluster, I know that the security password needs to be the same on all servers.

However, I am not sure about the platform admin and Application user id's and passwords.

Can they be different for each server ?

If that is the case, and I want to admin the cluster from one of the servers, would I need to enter the uid / pwd for the Application User (Web UI logon for admin page) that is specific to that server ? Or would it be the uid / pwd that was set for the first node (publisher)?

I looked at the install docs, and its not clear from them on this point. They seem to suggest using the same uid / password combination for all servers.

But it looks like only the DB security password is REQUIRED to be the same.

Can anyone please clarify ?

GUI and OS pwds are the same for all cluster, the ones you initially defined or if at some point you changed them. You use the same in any server you log.
