Hi all,
Can anyone tell me whether or not it's safe to enable MLA and restart the web service during production hours? Will making these changes in the CM Publisher have any affect on end user service? I am guessing no...but...want to be sure.
Thanks.
Rgds,
Vicky

Stuff like CCMadmin, CCMuser, EM login/logout, directories, services menu, help from phone will not be available during the time the service is restarting.
In Windows versions it took some time to reset the service and if using iisreset it could take up to 6 tries (sometimes even more) to get it back up.
If you have no trouble not having any of the above during production hours then you can do it, otherwise afterhours or during maintenance windows.

Hi Java,
This is very helpful, now I won't have a coronary if the service doesn't restart right away. :o)
Thank you!

Hi,
I did run into an issue on 4.2.3
We are integrated with AD and we ran into a bug on 4.2.3 where the actual ldap query string had to be inserted in SQL fields rather than the ccmadmin MLA parameters.
Hope this helps
