Our router interface f0/0 is the local LAN. f1/0 is the MetroE link.
Can untagged traffic on f0/0 be bridged to a subinterface on f1/0 and from there to a switch at another site? Goal is to move a server between sites without changing anything. IRB, perhaps?

Instead of the legacy IRB, why don't you configure L2TPv3 on F0/0 (xconnect) and do the same at the remote location.
A device connected to F0/0 will see the remote end as directly connected and the router does not need to participate on the L2 domain.

Edison,
Thanks for the idea. Will a 3560 at the remote support it? Also, how does overhead compare?

You need a router at both ends of the link acting as PE and the CE will be the switches.
Once the L2TPv3 is configured in the routers, the switches (CE) will be able to see each other as directly connected and exchange all the L2/L3 protocols as if they were in the same building.

Actually what I'm looking for is a config that will work with our existing 3745 at one end and 3560 at the other. Thoughts?

IRB on the 3745 or get a switch to replace the 3745 - those are your options.
