SPA525G - Audio quality, too much bass

Currently testing these fantastic little devices.

Test users' first question is always the same: "How to I turn down the bass?"

It is a fantastic shift from the SPA9xx 'tinny' audio - however there is simply FAR TOO MUCH bass in the audio quality of the SPA525G. It's the same on both the handset and the speakerphone.

Speaking to females on the SPA5265G is just fine.... however, some male voices are almost indecipherable.

It could be codec related - we only use G729 and it may not be as noticeable using G711.

Cisco devs - any chance of creating a 'tone' adjustment in the firmware ?

Anyone else getting the same feedback from users about this handset ?
