Force a IP phone to register with a particular Call Manager

I am running CUCM4.1 and have a 7960 phone that registers with my primary CM server. I have users complaining of delays in getting dialtone when they pick up their phone, and also delays in txfer of calls, or when they answer the phone, it delays before the party is connected. They are on different VLANS and Subnets and switches. The only consitentcy I see, is they are registered to a particular CM. I wanted to take phone in my office and put the troubled number on it, but have it register to the same CM they are registered to. I go to the phone and the net config is locked out, if that is where you can force it, but I am not sure.

You have to change the "Device Pool" of your phone on CCM. Device Pool has CM Group which has the list of call manager servers defined
