have three sites in mpls mesh. Head end has the fw/internet service, but I don't see how I am going to make this work short of creating a gre tunnel through the mpls. How else does the provider know how to forward and internet request

Hello Bill,

if it is an MPLS L3 VPN you just need to send a BGP default route from your CE router at headend to the PE node.

The internet router has to be configured to NAT remote side client vlans in addition to central site.

SP has to accept the default route, this is not a problem for them being the VRF a separate per customer routing table.
