Hello Team,

I have two Cisco MCS-7825I-3.0-IPC1/CC1 for CUCM servers. TheSN:KP-FV3880 is Different from the rest of my call managers. Cisco said that both serial numbers are not valid. Can some one point me to where or how to find the serial numbers on the call manager via the web interface or through the command line? I need to buy licenses for the two devices and off coarse serial number is needed.

Thx,

Eric

if you did not purchase your servers directly

from Cisco, they (obviously) do not have a Cisco serial number.

Cisco's serial number is different from manufacturer's (IBM or

HP/Compaq) serial number.

try the "Cisco Product Identification Tool". search in CCO

It may help you to retrieve the serial number of your Cisco

servers. If your product is not listed on this tool, it may be

because the tool does not have serial number information for it

Eric,

Depending on the Call Manager version on these servers, you can try one of the following:

3.x & 4.x

See Adrián's post here: http://forum.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&forum=Unified Communications and Video&topic=IP Telephony&topicID=.ee6c829&fromOutline=&CommCmd=MB?cmd=display_location&location=.2cd3187b

5.x, 6.x, 7.x

SSH to your server and log-in with admin privileges

Run the command: utils snmp walk 2c 127.0.0.1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.1.0

*Note* On some servers I have had some issue with using the 'utils snmp walk' command. But, you can use the MIB, .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.1.0, from any location and it will give you the same result.

Thanks,

Adam
