IOS SLB and SUP2/MSFC2

Hi,

I would like to run SLB on c6500 with sup2/msfc2. I don't have any hardware like CSM or ACE module but I want to use SLB in IOS. I would like to use “directed mode “ but I afraid that it could be a problem with performance. Actually I didn't find any information about

performance in that kind of configuration. How can I calculate ?

thanx in advice .

Hi Rico,

It's supported. Flows are switch in hw and only the packets used for the initial/tear down session negotiation are punted to the MFSC.

So the limit depends on the number of pps the MFSC can handle which are around 500kpps.

I strongly encourage you to do anyway these performance tests based on your environment to have precise results

HTH

Laurent.

Hi Laaubert,

thanx, I thought that in " dispatch mode" flows are switch in hw.

Thanks again.

Rico
