how do I rate limit broadcasts going out a switchport?

I need to be able to place a rate limit on broadcasts going out of certain switch ports on a Catalyst 6513 because of the Alcatel devices attached to these switch ports. Is setting "storm control" on the switch port the only way or is there something else I can use?
