CUCM forward call to unity connection

Answered Question

Hi All,

I need to setup system distribution list in CUX. in CUCM, I need to forward all call from that number to voicemail. it seems there are two choices to accomplish this task:

1- create DN in CUCM and forward all to voicemail

2- create CTI route point with that numbe and forward all to the voicemail.

technically, which way is better choice? and what is the difference between two method?

any suggestion would be very appreciated.

thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

The recommended method would be Number 2 -

2- create CTI route point with that numbe and forward all to the voicemail.

This is a "virtual" setup that does not require any further config or Phone association :)

Cheers!

Hi Rob,

I've configured the system with CTI and DN forward all to voicemail. But when I dial that number from IP phone, it plays default unity connection AA, and doesn't play spoken name of system distribution list. any suggestion?

appreciate

Alex
