I can't take credit for this at all, but this should work for you.


Try this: copy the following in Notepad and save it in server's desktop as .vbs file.


strComputer = "."

Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _

& "{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")

Set colBIOS = objWMIService.ExecQuery _

("Select * from Win32_BIOS")

For each objBIOS in colBIOS

Wscript.Echo "Manufacturer: " & objBIOS.Manufacturer

Wscript.Echo "Serial Number: " & objBIOS.SerialNumber

Next


Once finished, double click and should show you the Serial number.
