Solved: CiscoWorks LMS3.0 doesn't know the 2960 PoE type

I have several PoE Catalyst 2960 WS-C2960-24PC-L

When I added them to CiscoWokrs I found out that it doesn't know WS-C2960-24PC-L type.

As a result they are unknown.

The list of installed applications:

1. LMS Portal 1.0.0

2. CiscoWorks Assistant 1.0.0

3. CiscoView 6.1.6

4. CiscoWorks Common Services 3.1.0

5. Integration Utility 1.7.0

6. Resource Manager Essentials 4.1.0

7. Campus Manager 5.0.0

8. Device Fault Manager 3.0.0

9. Internetwork Performance Monitor 4.0.0

How to add WS-C2960-24PC-L to the LMS?

As I understand I have to update Resource Manager Essentials. Which version should I install ?

You need to upgrade to lms 3.0.1 called also 3.0 update december 07

with sysobject ID :1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.950

I checked the doc and I found out that

is in section Devices Supported in RME, CM, DFM, and CV (With LMS 3.0 December 2007 Update)

I have LMS3.0. (it's in about section)

are LMS3.0 and LMS 3.0 December 2007 Update different ?

Yes, I think "LMS 3.0 December 2007 Update" would bump the version number to LMS 3.0.1, after which you might still need to get the latest device support packages (Common Services -> Software Center -> Device Update) to get proper WS-C2960-24PC-L support.
