Pick up parked call from SCCP controlled FXS port

I have several FXS ports with analog cordless phones attached to them being controlled by SCCP. The phones work fine and are able to make and receive phone calls, but I can't seem to get the FACs to work properly. Whenever I try to use an FAC to pickup a call, I get a fast busy signal as soon as I press the prefix digit. For example, I have the prefix digit set to #. As soon as I press # I get a rapid busy signal.

Configure a FAC custom code under telephony-service and that should do the trick:


UC520(config)#telephony-service

UC520(config-telephony)#no fac standard
fac standard has been disabled!
UC520(config-telephony)#fac custom pickup local #3
fac pickup local code has been configurated to #3!

Thanks for the prompt reply. This solution has already been put into active use. I will have to get back on-site to test.


I don't understand the relationship between the "stcapp feature access-code" and the "fac custom" command. Judging by the output of "show stcapp feature codes" I have already configured a local pickup FAC. Do the settings defined under "stcapp feature access-code" have no effect?

I guarantee that the commands I geve you will work in your case. The thing is that you are confusing the access code that is used to pickup a call ringing on an FXS port (method recommended by me) vs. picking up a call FROM the analog port (which makes use of the stcapp commands). Makes sense?

I understand the difference now that you have explained it, but I _am_ trying to pick up a call in one of the parking slots _from_ the analog port.


Here is the scenario:

A call comes in on an FXO port.

The FXO port is PLAR'ed to a voice hunt-group containing 1 or more IP phones.

One of the IP phones in the voice hunt-group answers the call and then parks the call. Lets say for instance the call is parked at 175.

I am trying to get an analog phone attached to an SCCP controlled FXS to pick up the call parked at 175.


This is what I cannot get to work.


Call parking is configured properly because parking and park retrieval work fine from IP phones.


I have the command "no service directed-pickup" defined under the "telephony-service" section because that setting most closely emulates my customer's pickup needs.


I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

The same pickup code that you use from the IP phones should work for the analog SCCP phone. Just use the FAC configuration under telephony service as indicated earlier.

If you are using call park, I don't believe you need any of this.  You should just to be able to dial the number the call was parked at.

I agree and that was my initial thought. When I go off-hook on one of those analog devices and dial the number of a parking slot, I just get a rapid busy signal.


I am able to pick parked calls up from the IP phones by just dialing the 3 digit extension of where the call is parked.

I am seeing some erratic behavior on my system on this as well.  Dialing the park number is the correct procedure.  Would you open a TAC case so that this gets tracked accordingly.

I think its time to pick this up and run with it again.


I have noticed a difference in ** code behavior, and see that BOTH FAC Standard and STCAPP are enabled on my UC540.

As a result, there are 4 codes which overlap and cause the features (like the one named by Megabyte) to work differently....


Working with Engineering now, to see if we can just disable STCAPP on FXS and still have FAC

But we want more, so we (CCA) also enables FAC standard, which I see are configured as standard in Telephony-Service.  I get all the red ones but the bold conflict and don’t work.

Taking STCAPP off the FXS eliminats the overlap and gives you all the FAC codes.  As follows
