Cisco 878 Bridge Mode

Hello,

I want to my use Cisco 878 Router as a Bridge and want to make the PPPoE authentication at my different brand firewall. is that possible ?

Yes, just put atm and ethernet inteface in a bridge group.

when I try to do put fastethernet to bridge-group it says the following message:

HSM(config-if)#bridge-group 1

FastEthernet0 does not support bridging

is it a fixible issue ?

Bridge-group to VLAN1.

now my vlan1 is up bu I couldn't up my atm interface. it says down all the time.

do you have any idea why is that for ?

Check with ISP which service you have contracted and that they have activated it.
