I'm currently configuring ASA 5505 for external users. The ASA is working fine.
Just one thing...
I am not able to telnet the ASA from
a workstation inside the firewall.
i have added the following:
telnet 10.80.100.10 255.255.255.255 inside
and telnet timeout 5
i am not able to telnet from the host
address i have specified in the first
line. Something is Missing ?
thanks

I believe it should be management access inside since you're using telnet.

Try add authentication in config
aaa authentication telnet console xxxx
Add user locally if you use LOCAL

i tried adding a local user and i still can't telnet my ASA.
The VPN is up and i can see my whole corporate network from the inside.
When i try to telnet the ASA from the corporate network it doesn't work.
Ive tried the packet tracer and it says
packet is drop by acl on the inside.
But my first rule on the inside is
any any ip permit...
any ideas ?

Are you crossing the VPN tunnel to get other ASA?

yes, i must cross the vpn tunnel
to reach the ASA i want to telnet.
i just added this command
management access outside
still doesn't work
