MGBLH1 modules

Dear All,

I've question regarding, MGBLH1 SFP modules, in the Cisco documentation https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/csbna/mgb/quick_start/guide/MGBLH1_MGBSX1_MGBT1_UG.pdf

we can find that it works with MMF cabling, please check the MGBLH1 specification in the attached documment.

But after connecting it to SRW2024 and making loop on a MMF fiber there is no transmission  there is also no laser light visible in the module.

On another side I've found this table, that says that is can be used only with SMF cabling, which of those are truth?

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps4999/products_qanda_item09186a0080abed87.shtml

Best Regards,

Lukasz

Lukasz,

I believe the first document you site is rather dated, the second one is more current.  The latest technical documentation for the MGBLH1 state that it is compatible with SMF, no reference to MMF.  Check table 2 of this document for the current specs.  If you are trying to use it with MMF that is likely the cause.

Hope this helps!
