Hi,
We have Unity 5 installed and we have recently changed our domain and will need to rebuild Unity as part of this, I have read that I can backup the existing database on the Unity and restore it on the new install as long as the two versions of unity match. What I am not sure about is if the database versions also need to match?
We use SQL2000 on the existing server but I want to install MSDE or SQL express as part of the new installation. If I do this, will I be able to restore the database backed up from SQL2000 to the same unity version but with different database?

DiRT does not care about the version of SQL - a backup from 2000 will restore onto MSDE and vice versa no problem. So long as the version of Unity backed up and the vesion of Unity you're restoring over is the same you should be fine.
