Hi all,

I have a CSM-config with 16(32 vlan) bridges in one context and want to move them to a ACE-blade. I can't declare more than eight route entrys. Shall I define defaultgateways as real servers and what about mac-sticky enable?

Regards

Mats

you download reload need a gateway for each vlan. This was actually true for the CSM as well.

The csm has only 1 active default gateway.

It does accept more to be configured but only use one.

ACE only accept 8 but it uses all of them.

So, just define a few gateways - up to 8.

If the gateway is the MSFC, there is no need to configure hundreds time the same destination.

For mac-sticky, I would recommend to enable it.

Gilles.

Hi Gilles,

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your reply. Attached is my config for Vlan on CSM. There I declare a gateway for every client vlan. How should config look like in ACE regarding Gateway.

you don't need the gateway ... just the mac-sticky enable

Hi all,

My rservers want to establish connections to other servers on other subnets owned by MSFC.
