Hi all,

I am a CCNP, is it true that if I pass exam 642-873 I become CCDP?

I have this problem too.

Yes you are correct.

To be a CCNP you must have CCNA and have passed the 642-901 BSCI and 642-812 BCMSN exams (or 642-892 Composite) so the 642-873 ARCH is all you need to be a CCDP.

Yes, that is true if you have a valid CCDA certification. If not, you will need to pass 640-863 DESGN as well since a valid CCDA is a prerequisite for the CCDP.

Hope this helps.

That is why I said I'll take both exams, 642-863 which is CCDA and 642-873 which is ARCH.

I don't think I have to take BSCI or BCMSN as they are part of the CCNP curriculum, and I'am a current CCNP

Sure, if you already have a valid BSCI and BCMSN you don't have to redo them.
