Hello,
I am a network technician and telecommunications in a society and
there is a telephony server CallManager 6 on Unix work flawless.
After asking my company to implement a voicemail server, so I proposed
the Cisco Unity.
They ordered a Cisco MCS 7800 server IBM. After I followed all the
steps to install it following the installation guide and I also set
the party on CallManager Voice Mail Port. So I followed the guide as
to integrate CallManager 6.0 with Cisco Unity 5.0 and I managed to
implement it. So I can now receive messages sent but the concern is
that the lamp of a new message is still flashing even though I have no
message. (Is it a timing issue to something else?)
my message waiting indicator lights will always in IPPHONE
I configured all services in CallManager.
Is there are some other settings that I do not know to activate??
Please it's urgent I need your help?
If you have a detailed document on the integration with Cisco
CallManager 6.0 other Unity5.0 you have on your site??

Are you saying the MWI on the phone is stuck and not turning off?
First off, run this test.
- can you dial MWI on extension on the IP phone. It should turn the light off.
- Can you dial MWI OFF extension and turn the light off.
If that works you know CUCM is setup correctly for MWI.
Verify in Unity the MWI extensions are the same in CUCM.
We are not sure of your message store. Is this voicemail only or Unified messaging?
Also please check your Windows Event Viewer for any errors on the Unity server

Hello tcatlinins
thank you for your response .
I'll tell you what's the scenario.
1. all services are started at Unity
2. The CallManager is started and the telephone are recorded.
3. I followed the procedure 6 Callmanager integration with Cisco Unity 5 and I created the Port and Voice Mail Voice mail profile as indicated in the procedure I was able to send and receive messages from the phone without problem
4. Then I set the MWI 5000 and the turn On the 6000 for the turn Off and I enabled services in CallManager MWI on I tested it on IPPHONE it works.
I type 5000 lamp blinks the new message
I type 6000 dies
But the worry is that when I type 5000 lamp of the new message remains on and I see that I have a new voicemail although I have no voicemail in my inbox.

Check you exchange installation (even voicemai only still has quasi-exchange). I have seen this exact behaviour if the permissions wizard did not complete 100% successfully.

Thank you for your reply.
The installation exchange is made according to the Installation Guide for Cisco Unity and Permissions Wizard all accounts are created and the delegation of permissions is done.
You can tell me is that there's a configuration in Cisco Unity MWI on and do it for other services to activate at Callmanager ?
best regards.

Hi,
labas? :)
Can you please do the following:
- Resynchronize all MWI in your Network, to do so, see the following link:
After that, do the following:
- Call 6000 and turn IP-Phone MWI off
- Call your IP-Phone (wether internally from another IP-Phone or externally from a cell phone)and leave a message
- MWI is turned ON
- logon to your unity account via phone and listen to the message. Delete it afterward
- MWI should turn off after a couple of secondes
Post the exact problem you are experiencing if this steps don't succeed.
