When I go into WCS it shows me a chart oh how many people have connected on certain dates.
One bar on the graph is blue which means assoicated clients. It tells me I have 40.
The other bar is gold or yellow. It tells me I have 38.
We might have 2 people on a authenticated network who work in IT but the rest would be in the open ssid. We would not have 38 authenticated.
my question is why does it say authenticated when I know there are not that many people authenticated. What does it really mean?

authenticated mean, the client got an ip address.
associated is when the client is connecting to the SSID but has not an IP address yet.
Make sense?
