Max recommended number of simultaneous wireless phone calls on UC540W?

Unanswered Question

Hi guys,

I'm working on a deployment of a UC540W system and had a question about max recommended simultaneous wireless calls on the system.  The UC540W will be installed inside a vehicle and connected to a high-gain Omni-directional antenna with a short run of LMR-400.  All wireless phone users (using 7921s or 7925s) will have clear line of sight of this antenna.  Any idea on the number of simultaneous calls that this equipment will support?  Any advantage to running a WLAN controller instead of using the integrated wireless in this unit?

Thanks,

Seth

We have not tested UC500 in this particular deployment scenario. I would use the recommended design guidelines:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps7320/products_white_paper09186a0080973d69.shtml

"Call Capacity About fourteen 7921G phones per AP521G are supported to work properly       while still having additional bandwidth available for data traffic."

Remember that the internal UC500 AP can not be controlled or used if you deploy a WLC.

Thanks,

Marcos
