Upgrade from 5.1(2) to 5.1(3x) Fails

I have a customer that were trying to upgrade to 7.1(3), however he is currently at 5.1.2.3110-1 and we need to have him at 5.1.3 before we can go to 7.1(3). I've tried to upgrade him 3 times from his 5.1.2 to 5.1(3G), 5.1(3f), and 5.1(a) only to keep getting the same error. Here is the error I keep getting:

Even though we have enough space in Inactive partition, we are failing to extract first rpm, this may be because we dont have enough space in common partition (use show status),

i believe you already check MD5 checksum for file,

This can also be cause by a I/O wait problem you can check HDDs integrity with Recovery CD, and you can disable I/O throttling and give it a try.

Let us know if that helps, otherwise please open a TAC case for further investigation

How would I go in a disable I/O throttling? Yes, I verify all 4 update files for MD5.

How could I go in and free up space on the the inactive disk? could I just delete whats currently on there?

Here's what on there now, I'm sure there's no reason to go back to the 5.1(2):

Here is the command from CLI for disabling io throttling

utils iothrottle disable

Disabling iothrottle allowed me to upgrade.
