** Connection 7.1(3) released to CCO - first supported API interface **

Unity Connection 7.1(3) is now available on CCO download. The release notes, documentation and download links can be found here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6509/tsd_products_support_series_home.html

Lots of little improvements and bug fixes - of note this includes the first officially supported development interface - a REST based API for database access that allows for reporting and basic administration tasks (i.e. creating/editing users, resetting passwords etc…). You can get more information and documentation and help on the new developer's page for Connection that went up yesterday:

http://developer.cisco.com/web/cupi

I'll stick a link to the developers page out on CiscoUnityTools.com later today as well.

Thanks for this reminder Jeff. I was under the impression that the first shot at APIs was going to be with v8. It's good to see something with v7. I'll have to read the docs to see if it can do what we need - primarily managing system contacts for our dial by name directory.

Just to let you know, I'm getting a few "An unexpected system error occurred. java.lang.NullPointerException" errors when trying to access the following sections of the page:

-post under "recent bloggers"

-links under "recent downloads"

-resources > API reference files (both of them)

Perhaps you can pass this info on to the appropriate webmaster.

Will do... not everything can be as tidy as CiscoUnityTools.com I suppose ;->
