question about logging in catalyst 6500

hi!

we have cisco catalyst 6500 and i have noticed strange line in logging

auth-event (gi*/*) link down

auth-event (gi*/*) link up

what does it mean? and how to understand what was the reason of this line to appear.

It might be related to dot1x authentication. Is dot1x enabled on the port?

yes, we have dot1x and we have acs server. but ports that i have named are just "access"
